In the month of February of the year 2006 the Technical International Committee WQO 55/ 06 was built, with the purpose of the development of a social responsibility standard referred to the treatment of human resources.
Being aware about Bologna's Process, referred to Education and Commitment of the European Union towards Educational Convergence for the year of 2010, the WQO Committee 55/ 06 members also worked with specific requirements from the educational-training fields, designing a draft for a further standard that undertakes such aspects.
The first draft was published in November 2006, and from that moment on, several contributions and suggestions were received from several parts of the world.
In March of the year 2007 it was made the second draft which, as soon as it was published it generated new comments.
Our undersigned parts welcomed the will to have a Compromise with Social Responsibility Standard able to be audited and certified, however they also claimed for something wider than that to answer anxieties, necessities and expectations about having a general Human Resources Standard that allows the certification.
From that moment on the Committee began to work in two Standards:
WQO 2100: 08 Compromise on Social Organizational Responsibility.
WQO 2200: 08 Compromise on Social Organizational Responsibility.
Fields: Human resources, Education-Training.
Compromise, because those who compromise themselves about something, are willing to celebrate a contract or treat, overcome an audit and demonstrate by means of practice the application of such compromise that will be availed by certification.
Organizational, because it is a Standard which is not only made to be applied for companies but also for all type of private , public organization, government, governmental organizations , lower middle, average or large class enterprises, managerial, cultural and social associations, in their wider sense no matter whatever its lawful pattern might be.
The result of applying those principles that we make publicly known to our own organization, allowed us to give place for the stakeholders anxieties which also make this Standard possible to be made.
The WQO Committee 55/ 06 will remain permanently open for all those people and organizations that are willing to participate or contribute with new suggestions, all of which will be the basis on which the first revision for the year 2012 will be performed.
